Gallery Opening & Shop
The Gallery Opening & Shop marked the launch of Fashion Community Helsinki’s new home, Fashion Community Helsinki Gallery, in summer 2024.
Located in Vallila in central Helsinki, the two-floor gallery and studio space takes inspiration from traditional art galleries, offering designers a setting to present their work beyond commercial expectations. It hosts community events, independent exhibitions, and pop-up sales, with the aim of making fashion more accessible to a wider audience and broadening the understanding of its role within art and culture.
The opening weekend invited visitors to step into the new space and discover the work of over 20 emerging local fashion designers with a focus on sustainable practices and pieces designed and handmade by themselves.
The event was part of Fashion In Helsinki.
